Store your coffee in airtight container in a cool dry place. Never refrigerate or freeze coffee. Minimize oxygen & humidity exposure for maxiumum flavor yield.

Coffee should always be ground just prior to use. Coffee loses flavor rapidly once it ground. Home grinders are very inexpensive and can be found at many supermarkets and other big box stores.

Always use cold (preferably filtered) water for brewing.

It is helpful freshness if you buy your coffee in smaller quantities quality equal to your usage.

How finely or coarsely you grind your coffee depends on your brewing method. As a rule, the longer the brew cycle, the coarser the grind for optimal flavor.

Start with one tablespoon of ground coffee per 8 oz. of water and adjust to your palette - either adding more coffee or more water to your taste.

Once brewed you should not leave your coffee "cook" on the heating element of your brewer for more than a few minutes to prevent bitter taste to good coffee, also empty your basket with brewed grounds quickly to prevent residual drip of concentrated coffee from altering your freshly brewed coffees taste. If you brew more than you can drink in a reasonable time period (10 minutes) your coffee should be transferred to an airpot to ensure the last cup is as good as the first.
