Christmas Coffee

(10 servings)

  • 1 pot of coffee (10-cup equivalent)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (baker's suger is best with it's smaller quicker to dissolve granules)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg
  • whipping cream for topping
Prepare pot of coffee. In a medium sauce pan, heat water to a low boil. Add sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring back to a low boil for about a minute - stirring occasionally. Combine coffee and holiday mixture and serve topped with whipped cream.

 

Christmas Coffee

(4 servings)

  • 1/2 cup powdered non dairy creamer
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla powder
  • 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2/3 cup instant coffee crystals

Combine nondairy creamer, powdered sugar, powdered vanilla, and milk powder. Layer with coffee and chips into two cup jars. Tap between layers to settle before adding next layer.

Spiced Christmas Coffee 

(8 servings)  

7 cups water
Using electric mixer, beat whipping cream in a large bowl to soft peaks. Add powdered sugar and brandy; beat to peaks. Place ground coffee, cardamom, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in coffee filter. Using spoon, mix gently. Add water to the coffee maker and brew according to manufacturer's instructions. Divide coffee among 8 cups. Garnish each with a dollop of whipped cream and serve immediately.




HOT CHOCOLATE MOCHA

6 servings 
  • 250 ml freshly made very strong espresso
  • 60 grams finely chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp whipped creme per serving 
  • 1 tsp dark chocolate per serving 
 

Place espresso in a saucepan over low heat and add chocolate. Cook, stirring, for about 4 minutes or until the chocolate has completey melted and combined with the coffee. Serve immediatly topped with whipped cream and grated chocolate.



Christmas Eve Delight
10 servings

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 10 cups coffee
  • 10 strips orange peel
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced into 10 pieces
  • optional - 1/2 to 1 shot of rum per cup of coffee
Melt the butter in a small pan of low heat. Stir in the brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Allow mixture to cool and then store in a sealed container in the refrigerator. To serve, put 1 teaspoon of the butter spice, 2 tablespoons cream, 1 strip orange peel, and 1 apple slice into 6 ounces of hot coffee. If desired, add 1/2 to 1 shot of rum.

Santa's Java 

4 servings

  • 3 cups of coffee
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 vanilla bean - sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tablespoon of brown sugar (use more if desired)
  • 2 teaspoon of crushed chocolate (sprinkles may be used)
Slice the vanilla bean lengthwise and place it in the bottom of the coffee maker carafe. Brew 3 cups of coffee. While coffee is brewing, whip the cream and brown sugar together. Pour the coffee into four cups and top with the whipped cream mixture. Add one cinnamon stick to each cup. Sprinkle the crushed chocolate on top. Add extra brown sugar if desired.

Cafe Mexicano

  • 1 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tsp chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Start with a fine dark brew. A French roast works really well for this drink. Keep the coffee hot. You'll need it soon.Stir the cream until it's thickened. Pour the chocolate syrup evenly into four warmed cups. It's easy to warm cups. Just fill them with a small amount of water and place into the microwave for a minute, making sure the water doesn't all boil away. Then remove and dump out any excess water.Add the coffee to the chocolate and blend well. Then, sprinkle on the cinnamon and nutmeg and top with cream. Delicioso!
